Once upon a time, in the meatpacking_district of novelFork, in the gardens of Ubu.
A young woman on the run, from don't we yet not know what, in the early hours of the morning, poses as an employee at the Gargantua restaurant. The restaurant owner is preparing his acclaimed Day of the Witches feast the following day. One of the cooks has helped the young woman blend in and settle down in the attic for the night.

Not far from there, the Generic, unable to make any course of action, awaits instructions with Ornicar; before returning to their tent, they discuss their options over an already empty cup of coffee.
- Mercenaries were hired to defend the Replic, Ornicar. They will meet tomorrow in the Gargantua, while they await their payment.
That feast will bankrupt the restaurant, drive its owner to a nervous breakdown, and as for novelFork... we don't know yet. This is that story.
